DAIICT Youth Run 2013:-

It gives us immense pleasure to bring to your notice that our college DA-IICT, organized “Youth Run” on the 27th of January. Cold weather was no deterrent for 1,400 people who ran for “passion for knowledge” in Gandhinagar on a Sunday morning. Organised by the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT), Youth Run saw participation from people of all age groups. The run was flagged off by Ashok Bhavsar (GUDA Chairman) and our Dean Mr. Sahastrabuddhe. With a choice between a 5km and an 8km run, the event had people from all walks of life- students, professors and all those young at heart.

Mr. B. K. Satish (President of Kalpataru group) and Mr. Suhas Barot (Chairman Infocity) also graced the event with their presence.

The run was organized to wake the youth up from the stupor and participate in creating a society that encourages social and moral development. The theme being “passion for knowledge” because here at DA-IICT, we believe that only through attainment of knowledge can true change be brought about.

A seminar was also organised to further highlight the theme. Eminent speaker Amitabh Shah (CEO of Yuva Unstoppable) who had risen to fame from a very low point was chosen.
