Gujarat ministers announce the 100 Days Target for all round development of the State

Even as Gujarat created a niche for itself with a unique ‘development model’ being discussed at national and global level, the Government of Gujarat has set ’100 days Target for Progressive Gujarat’ to focus on 11 major people-oriented welfare programmes under 48 administrative heads.

Announcing the target government spokespersons Health Minister Nitinbhai Patel and Finance & Energy Minister Saurabh Patel said the objective is to take the state to greater heights to realize the mantra of ‘Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas’ as a yajna.

The Ministers said that Gujarat’s administrative setup has already established its unique identity in the country, as it has now prepared different themes to concentrate on the new targets for all round development of the people through pro-active administration.

They said the targets have been fixed keeping the Gujarat’s development model in mind, such as Women’s Empowerment, Nutritious Gujarat, and Mahatma Gandhi Health Mission among other issues. The targets would be widely publicized among six crore people through different channels, public debate, Garib Kalyan Mela, Chintan Shibir and SWAGAT.

Other issues include modernizing revenue records, priority to drinking water and solid waste disposal under Gujarat Urban Mission, starting 100 days Smart Learning programmes in select 500 schools, strengthening the skill development training for youth and arranging recruitment fairs.

The Ministers said the government has set special benchmark for the Karma Yogis to attain the targets. The training modules while on job have been tuned in to electronic learning portals.

The entire ’100 Days Target’ will be implemented under the direct supervision of Collectors and District Development Officers down to the taluka level by separate teams. Each district will work under the In-charge Guardian Minister and Guardian Secretary, while a department has been created appropriate infrastructure for coordination of different programmes.

100 DAYS TARGET: 11 Major POIs and 48 activities (as below):-

Women Empowerment

• Under Mission Mangalam Project, formation of 4000 new groups and their health check-ups and planning for their revolving fund

• Formation of 10,000 Self Help Groups covering Housing and Employment beneficiaries and their training facilities

• Under Mission Mangalam Project, conferences for urban women in 6 districts

• Under Kasturba Nutrition Assistance Project, distributed cheques to 45,000 beneficiaries

• Welfare approach for widow women

• Expansion of the Women Security Committee

•Under Suraksha Setu Project, self- defense training for 26,000 women

Nutritious Gujarat

• Extremely less weighted Anganwadi children’s treatment under Child Medical Treatment Centre (CMTC)

• Medical check-up of all less weighted children of Anganwadi

• Planning to arrange Nutrition Awareness Week across villages

• Under Sabla scheme training to all the sakhis and sahelis of the anganwadi

• Distribution of iron (IFA) tablets to all needy teenage girls

• Under Doodh Sanjivani Yojna, distribution of flavoured milk to 5 lakh children of 14 Taluka places

Mahatma Gandhi Cleanliness Campaign

• Approval for the solid and liquid waste management in 2500 villages

• Commencing the campaign of extensive information – education and correspondence

• Distribution of more than 75,000 tools/devices for the management of solid waste in 159 municipalities with the total cost of 100 crore

• 100% door to door collection of solid waste in 25 municipalities

• Medical check-up for all the staff of municipal corporation and municipalities

• Planning to provide 50000 personal toilet facilities and approval for 85,000 new toilets

Strengthening public service management

• 100 Lok Samwad Setu programme in 100 days

•Garib Kalyan Mela in every municipal corporation and municipality areas

•Forest tilted deeds’ distribution to 5000 Vanbandhus

•Karmyogi Chintan Shibir at taluka and districts level

•Settlement of redtapism at state/district /taluka level

•Strengthening of taluka level Swagat online programme

•51,000 NRGs connected with Gujarat

•Center’s nod to new city civic centers in 25 municipalities of the state

Modernization of revenue records

•Solutions of all pending registrations for inheritance

•Solutions of all the other pending registrations within 100 days

•Special camping for hereditary registration in tribal areas

•Implementation of baki kami Zasti Patrak as a campaign at rural panchayat

•Solution drive for the pending cases of transforming new provisos into old provisos

Recruitment calendar

•Gujarat administration services class-1 and class-2 recruitments through combined competitive examinations

•Various 20,000 recruitments during the year 2014

Infrastructural facilities in Gujarat urban mission cities

•Under underground drainage project worth Rs 102 crores, works for 19 sewage treatment plants of 134 MLD capacity started

•Approval for the pure drinking water project worth Rs 230 crores

Karmayogi Abhiyan Training and qualitative reform

•Electronic learning portal for government employees

•25 modules to be prepared to provide training to government employees

•An Action plan to train more than 35,000 employees of Municipal corporations and municipalities under the Karmayogi Training

Smart learning in the schools

•Implementation of E-learning in 500 smart schools

•During next 100 days, Nirmal Shala Abhiyan across all the schools

Upgraded Skill for getting its’ advantage in employment

•Training in 125 Industrial Institutions through I-KVK

•Short term training classes to upgrade the multiple skill development

•Preparing candidates for campus placement in 50 nodal ITIs

•Skilled Certification to 25,000 workers through their work experience, hereditary skill

•Training and kit distribution to 5,000 farmers who availed land right within the Forest Authority Act under the Wadi Yojna

Recruitment Fair

•75,000 employment through 347 employment- recruitment fair within 100 days

•Information regarding foreign employment at Ahmedabad and Vadodara centres
